Brooks Anderson, a 25-year-old airline passenger who stands at 6'7", couldn't find a seat that would offer enough legroom during his recent flight with Spirit Airlines. Anderson wasn't allowed to stretch his knees into the aisle. His only option to avoid a painful flight was to stand. According to Time, Anderson stood during his 2.5 hour flight from Chicago to Fort Myers, Fla. It's not illegal for an airline passenger to stand during a flight, but passengers must be seated for takeoff and landing. Time reports that Anderson was seated for those events, but the FAA is investigating the incident.
